Where reporting comes from

Pacy's writing is expected to add something that did not exist before it: analysis of the data Pacy holds, a pattern across fixtures, or reporting done first-hand. Rewriting somebody else's article is not publishing.

Rules that apply to every article

• Where a fact is first reported elsewhere, that outlet is credited by name and linked.
• Quotes are attributed, and taken from a source Pacy has seen rather than from another outlet's summary of it.
• No article is a close rewrite of another publication's piece.
• No text or photography is used without the right to use it. Images carry their credit where one is required.
• Where a claim is contested, the page says who is claiming it.

Match data

Scores, fixtures and match events are facts about public events. They are reconciled across the feeds Pacy collects and corrected when they turn out to be wrong. How they are gathered is described in the data methodology.
