How Pacy collects, reconciles and updates scores, how often, and what it does when data is late.
How a score reaches the page
Pacy collects fixtures and scores continuously, reconciles the accounts it receives into one record per match, and publishes that. A match seen by more than one feed is a single fixture on the site, not two.
How often it updates
- A live match is re-read every few seconds.
- An upcoming fixture is re-read on a slower cycle, because nothing about it is changing.
- A finished match is settled and is left alone.
Timings
Every time on Pacy is shown in one zone, stated on the page. A match is filed under the calendar day it kicks off in that zone, so a late-night fixture does not move to the following day.
When Pacy is behind
If updates stop arriving, the page says so rather than continuing to present the last score as current. A stale score shown as live is the single worst thing a scoreboard can do.
Probabilities
Where Pacy shows a probability, it is Pacy's own estimate from the match information available and how both sides have performed. It is an estimate, not a forecast of the result, and it is labelled as one wherever it appears.

A score corrected after publication is marked as corrected on the match — see the corrections policy.
