Krakow sweep, Poznan and Katowice take shootouts
Ekstraklasa's latest round served up three decisive results, two of them settled by a single goal after high-scoring affairs.
Wisla Krakow dominated their local rival Wieczysta in a one-sided Krakow derby, earning a clean 2-0 win. The performance left Wisla with little to prove on the day.
The round's other matches turned on narrow margins. Widzew Lodz fell short at home against Lech Poznan in a five-goal thriller, losing 2-3. Across the country, Gornik Zabrze could not hold their ground against GKS Katowice, succumbing 2-3 in another tight contest.
Three matches, three decisive outcomes, but two of them hung on a single goal, each totalling five goals.
