Jordan Love throws for 367 yards as Packers rout Chicago 31-7

Green Bay beat Chicago 31-7 at Lambeau Field on 11 October 2026, with Jordan Love passing for 367 yards and the Bears committing five turnovers.

The 31-7 win over Chicago at Lambeau Field on 11 October 2026 was built on Jordan Love's 367 passing yards and five turnovers by the visitors. Per AP, the result lifts the Packers to 3-2, over .500 for the first time this season.

How the score built

Green Bay scored in every quarter, with 7, 7, 9 and 8 points, while the Bears had one scoring period, a 7-point second quarter. MarShawn Lloyd's 7-yard run to open that second quarter was the first touchdown of his career, and he finished with two rushing scores on ten carries for 31 yards, per AP. Fox 6 Milwaukee reports Green Bay led 14-7 at half time and won the second half 17-0, which matches the quarter-by-quarter split in Pacy's data.

Love, Watson and the passing game

Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions and a 137.5 passer rating. Both of his scores went to Christian Watson, on throws of 42 and 53 yards, per AP. Watson finished with six catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns, and Yahoo Sports notes he now has six touchdown catches this season. Matthew Golden added a career-high 123 receiving yards on six catches, also per AP. AP adds that Love's 367 yards is the most by a Packers quarterback against the Bears at Lambeau Field.

Five turnovers and a second-string quarterback

Chicago's offense kept handing the ball back. Caleb Williams was out with a hamstring injury, so Tyson Bagent started. Per the Chicago Sun-Times, Bagent went 12 of 21 for 87 yards with two interceptions and was benched early in the fourth quarter with the Bears down 31-7. Case Keenum then threw an interception on fourth-and-goal from the Green Bay 10 and lost a fumble, per AP. In all, Chicago gave the ball away five times, three interceptions and two fumbles lost, while Green Bay committed no turnovers. Xavier McKinney intercepted Bagent twice, per AP, and Chicago turned it over on four straight second-half possessions.

The numbers behind the margin

Yardage was the clearest gap. The Packers gained 428 yards on 59 plays, 7.3 per play, while Chicago gained 246 on 68 plays, 3.6 per play. The Bears were the better running side per carry, averaging 3.4 yards per rush on 24 attempts against Green Bay's 2.7 on 26. Possession was close, at 30:24 for Green Bay and 29:36 for Chicago.

Both teams converted four third downs, but Green Bay needed 12 tries to Chicago's 14. The Packers' defense had standouts too: Devonte Wyatt recorded two sacks and Evan Williams totalled 12 tackles, per Pacy's top performers. Rookie kicker Trey Smack made a 35-yard field goal but missed from 43 and 47 yards and an extra point, per AP.

The Packers had won one and lost one in their previous two games: 17-14 at Tampa Bay on 4 October, then 14-35 at home to Atlanta on 25 September. Across those two, they scored 31 and allowed 49. Chicago had won its previous two, both at home, 23-12 over the New York Jets on 4 October and 27-7 over Philadelphia on 29 September, scoring 50 and allowing 19.

Green Bay host Dallas at Lambeau Field on 18 October, and Chicago play at Atlanta, per Fox 6 Milwaukee. The Bears hope Caleb Williams can return for that Atlanta trip in Week 6, per the Chicago Sun-Times. Health is the other question: T.J. Edwards left with a hamstring problem in the first half, Tyrique Stevenson (hamstring) and Dayo Odeyingbo (quadriceps) were hurt in the second, and on the Packers' side Skyy Moore (ankle) did not return and Javon Hargrave was hurt late in the fourth quarter, per AP. Chicago had lost 10 of its last 11 games at Lambeau Field before this week, per AP, so the next test for Green Bay is whether the turnover-free performance carries into the Dallas game.
